Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior vice president of corporate development. Leveraging his significant Alexander Mirza both in the corporate and consulting environments, he will be working company-wide on cool product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, amongst others. Mirza will be based at the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports straight to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Just before joining Hilton, Mirza was actually a senior executive in the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Just before Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was responsible for brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. Mirza started his career at First Financial, Inc. and opened the first U.S. office servicing corporate high net-worth clients. His consulting background includes a long period of project management knowledge about Deloitte/Braxton Associates in the parts of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.
Mirza was subsequently a senior principal at Strategos, an innovation consultancy where he worked with management teams in the luxury hospitality, travel, consumer and asset management industries inside the regions of customer strategy, new product development and repair innovation. Mirza holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, with a concentrate on brand marketing and corporate strategy. He also holds an M.A. in Economics along with a B.A. Honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
